Use this mode when Zinley should handle an agreed job while you are not in the conversation. Zinley identifies itself as AI, represents the purpose you gave it, and returns with a result.

A good handoff has four parts

  1. Outcome — what should be true when the job is done.
  2. Context — who or what the job concerns.
  3. Boundary — what Zinley must not promise, spend, disclose, or change.
  4. Return condition — when to finish, ask you, or escalate.

“Call the clinic and ask whether my prescription is ready. Do not change the order. If they need a medical decision, come back to me.”

Good first jobs

  • gather information from a business by phone;
  • handle a bounded email thread;
  • attend a meeting you cannot join and return the decisions;
  • run a disclosed first interview against an approved rubric;
  • research options and return a recommendation;
  • follow up with a known person;
  • turn a repeated routine into a scheduled task.

Send Zinley into a meeting without you

Send the Google Meet, Zoom, or Teams link — or a dial-in number and access code — and say “Join this for me.” Add the outcome, speaking boundary, end time, and what Zinley should bring back.

“Join this vendor review for me. Listen for the revised launch date, ask the three approved pricing questions, make no commitments, and bring back every decision and owner. Leave at 3:30pm.”

For a recruiting first interview, provide the role, rubric, approved questions, and escalation rule. Zinley joins as a disclosed AI representative; the candidate knows who authorized it. Advancement, rejection, offers, and hiring decisions stay with a human.

If you will also be in the room, use By your side instead and say “Join me here.”

Before Zinley acts

Confirm the identity and channel it will use. Set Ask me first for an action you still want to review, or Go ahead when the boundary is tested and clear.

After Zinley acts

Read the receipt. It should tell you the result, material statements made, commitments or proposals, and anything still open. Correct the context if it misunderstood a person or topic before the next job.
