People
People is the inspectable relationship context Zinley uses when it represents you. A profile connects identities, relevant facts, prior interactions, and open commitments around one person.
How profiles appear
A profile can be created as Zinley encounters someone through calls, email, chat, or a topic. New profiles start with limited context and become more useful as identifiers and interactions are connected.
Search the list by name and open a person to review the source context before Zinley uses it for a sensitive job.
Identity
A profile can connect a display name, preferred name, email addresses, and phone numbers. Linking an address or number tells Zinley that future contact belongs to this person.
If two profiles may be the same person, review the proposed merge. Identity should not be combined silently when the match is uncertain.
Relationship context
Use the profile to inspect and correct:
- private notes and relevant facts;
- the tone or relationship type Zinley should use;
- the person's preferred language, learned automatically or set by you;
- what they owe you and what you owe them;
- topics and interactions involving this person;
- identifiers that were linked incorrectly.
Pin context that should remain important. Remove or correct a fact that is wrong instead of compensating for it in every future prompt.
If language detection is wrong, edit Preferred language on the profile. The owner-set value replaces auto-detection for future calls; see Languages & automatic learning.
Interactions and open work
The profile connects back to the calls, email, and Topics where the relationship context came from. Use the source interaction when exact wording or a commitment matters; the profile summary is an aid, not the receipt itself.
Delete or merge
Merge duplicates only after checking the names and identifiers shown on both sides. Delete contact removes that person's history from the People view; the current dashboard does not show a restore control. Read the confirmation carefully and contact support if you delete the wrong profile.
When Zinley represents you to this person, combine the profile context with an explicit job boundary. Continue with On your behalf or Calls & Emails.
