Authority & approvals
Authority decides what Zinley may finish, not what it is technically able to attempt. Keep it proportional to the job and easy to review.
Open Configure → Your Zinley → Behavior → When Zinley should ask. The Before taking action control applies to outgoing email, calls, calendar changes, and other external actions.
Two control levels
Ask me first
Zinley can prepare and propose, but pauses before an external action or commitment. Use this for new workflows, sensitive conversations, spending, scheduling, sharing, and any boundary you are still testing.
Go ahead
Zinley can finish a job inside the boundary you gave it. Use this for predictable work where the audience, acceptable outcome, and escalation rule are already clear.
Job-level boundaries still matter
The account setting is not a substitute for instructions. Add the smallest useful boundary to each handoff:
- “Do not spend money.”
- “Do not confirm a date.”
- “Use only the attached document.”
- “If identity is uncertain, ask me.”
- “Escalate any legal or medical decision.”
Where approvals appear
Pending proposals surface in Home, the Brief, and the relevant Topic or conversation. Review the proposed action, recipient, material details, and boundary before approving it.
Review the receipt
After completion, use Calls & Emails and the related call or email receipt to verify the result. If the result surprised you, narrow the boundary before increasing authority.
