Chat basics

Use Chat to ask, prepare, or hand work to your representative. A strong request names the outcome, relevant context, and boundary.

Write in the language that is natural for you. Zinley auto-detects conversation language and is not English-only; phone opening defaults, person-level learning, text, email, meetings, and website localization are explained under Languages & automatic learning.

Send context with the request

Attach screenshots, images, PDFs, spreadsheets, transcripts, or code beside the message box. Tell Zinley which source is correct when files disagree.

Replies stream while Zinley works. Activity rows show the plain-language work in progress; open details when you need more evidence.

Choose the model for direct Chat

The AI model button beside the message box controls messages you send directly from that web, desktop, iOS, or Android app. It is separate from the account default used by iMessage, Telegram, email, calls, scheduled tasks, meetings, and other jobs Zinley runs for you. Steer a running job

Send a follow-up while work is still running to change the direction without starting over:

“Skip the third vendor. Keep the final answer under 200 words.”

Use Stop when continuing would waste time, money, or create risk. If you close the app, cloud work can continue; reopen the conversation to review its state.

Ask, then act

Chat supports two different intents:

• Inspect: ask a question, compare material, or search your history.
• Act: send, call, book, publish, change, or run something.

For external actions, the authority setting still applies. Ask me first produces a proposal; Go ahead can complete the action within the job's boundary.

Ask anything from the Brief

Open Today → Brief and use Ask Zinley anything to search across the context Zinley has about your work. Answers include matching Topics you can open, plus a confidence cue when the result may be incomplete.

Examples:

• “What did I promise Linh last week?”
• “What is still open on the Hanoi move?”

If you phrase the request as an instruction and it maps clearly to one Topic, Zinley may stage or perform the action under your current authority setting. If several matters match, it asks you to choose and does nothing. Use normal Chat when you want a new job that is not already attached to a known matter.

Memory and reusable instructions

Zinley carries useful context across conversations. When something is wrong, correct the source rather than repeating the correction in every prompt.

Use People and Topics for relationship and matter context. Use Skills & rules for reusable methods and firm boundaries.
