Get a private phone line

A private line lets other people call your agent and lets it place supported calls for you. It is different from the central number you may use to text or call your own agent.

Open it

On desktop or mobile, open Settings → your agent's name. Find Your private line and choose Get a number. If a line already exists, choose Manage number.

Choose and claim a line

  1. Search the countries and number types offered by the current picker.
  2. Use the area-code or digit filters when available.
  3. Select a number and review its monthly renewal price, trial eligibility, and active-line limit.
  4. Complete the claim or checkout flow shown.
  5. Return to Zinley and verify the number and status under Manage number.

Numbers are first-come, first-served. If one becomes unavailable, choose another. A payment page finishing is not by itself proof that the carrier provisioned the number; wait for the confirmed line in the app.

Understand the cost

Each line has its own renewal price, separate from the Zinley subscription. Calls use shared credits. Eligible accounts may see a first-line trial; use the exact offer, end date, renewal price, and payment requirements displayed for your account.

If a trial needs a payment method before it ends, follow the notice to keep the line. A paused or held line may stop receiving calls even though its record remains visible. Do not promise the number to contacts until it is ready.

Prepare it for real callers

Review how the agent handles calls, choose the primary line, and confirm the public contact details. Give a narrow instruction about what callers may learn or request.

Test with a short, non-sensitive call. Check the greeting, correct agent identity, and History receipt. Carrier behavior and country availability vary; use the picker and line status as the current source.

If claiming fails

Read the specific error: unavailable number, plan limit, payment, or provisioning. If a charge succeeded but no line appears, check billing and contact support with the charge reference and selected number before buying it again. Use Request a country if shown to express interest; it is not a reservation or launch promise.
