Meetings & interviews
Zinley can enter a meeting or interview in two distinct ways: without you, on your behalf, or with you, by your side. Choose the mode before it joins.
Two ways to join
| What you want | Prompt | Who attends |
|---|---|---|
| Zinley handles the conversation for you | “Join this for me” | Zinley; you are away |
| Zinley joins the conversation with you | “Join me here” | You and Zinley together |
Send the Google Meet, Zoom, or Teams link, or the dial-in number and access code. In the same message, say the mode, Zinley's role, when it may speak, and what it should bring back.
For a multilingual room, also name the languages, translation direction, speaking timing, and project glossary. The meeting does not need to run in English.
“Join me here for this panel interview. I will lead. Ask the approved follow-ups when I hand over to you, track evidence against the rubric, and do not discuss compensation.”
“Join this supplier meeting for me. Ask about the delayed shipment, make no commitments, and bring back the new date, owner, and open risks.”
“Join me here. Translate Vietnamese and English both ways after each speaker finishes. Keep API names in English and do not add an opinion to the translation.”
Prepare
Name the conversation, the people involved, the outcome you want, and the kind of help you need.
For a meeting: “Summarize the history with this vendor, list the unresolved decisions, and draft five questions.”
For an interview: “Run a realistic practice round, interrupt vague answers, and keep each response under two minutes.”
Give it a clear live role
Zinley joins as a disclosed AI participant. Keep its purpose visible and choose one primary role:
- Co-participant: translate, add approved context, or answer defined questions while you lead.
- Co-interviewer: follow an approved rubric, ask assigned follow-ups, and capture evidence while a human owns the hiring decision.
- Observer: capture decisions, owners, deadlines, and risks; speak only when named, asked directly, or invited.
- Representative: attend without you, complete the bounded conversation, and return a receipt.
Before the conversation starts, verify that Zinley appears in the participant list with its disclosed identity and has joined in the mode you requested. A normal Chat or Voice conversation with Zinley does not by itself connect it to a separate meeting.
Debrief
End with a receipt you can act on, not a wall of transcript. Ask for decisions, commitments, owners, deadlines, risks, and the next best action.
Use Ask me first for proposed follow-up. Move a clear action to Go ahead only when its scope and audience are correct.
