Connect apps and accounts

Connect a service when your agent needs to read or act in that account. A service connection is different from a chat app used to message the agent and from a saved website login.

Open it

On desktop or mobile, open Settings → Apps & accounts. Search the available services and open the one you need. The live catalog determines what your account can connect.

Connect the correct identity

  1. Choose Connect for the service.
  2. Continue in the provider's browser sign-in flow.
  3. Confirm the account identity and review the requested access.
  4. Approve the permissions needed for your job.
  5. Return to Zinley and verify that the connection is ready.

Keep the provider's password and verification code in its own sign-in flow. If the browser chose the wrong Google or other account, disconnect and repeat with the intended identity.

Give a first, read-only job

“Read tomorrow's calendar and tell me about conflicts. Do not create, move, or invite anyone.”

“Find today's customer emails in my connected Gmail and summarize unanswered questions. Do not send replies.”

Open the source links and compare the result with the provider. Then authorize a bounded action when you are ready. A connected account does not mean every possible API or permission is available.

Personal mail and your agent's inbox

A connected Gmail mailbox remains your personal mailbox. Your agent's own email address is separate. When sending matters, say which account should send, who should receive it, and whether it should be a draft or an actual send.

Refresh or disconnect

Open the service's management controls to reconnect or Disconnect. If a permission expired or was revoked at the provider, finish its consent flow again. Disconnecting stops future use of that connection; it does not recall already-sent mail, cancel existing provider events, or erase all prior receipts.

You can also revoke access from the provider's security settings. Check both sides when a connection behaves unexpectedly.

Other connection types

Use Chat apps for messaging, Linked accounts for saved website credentials, Devices for computer access, and Health setup for phone health permissions. Each has its own access boundary.
