Connect a device

Install Zinley and sign in with the same account. The device registers automatically; there is no pairing code.

Computer

  1. Download the macOS, Windows, or Linux app from zinley.com/downloads.
  2. Install and open it.
  3. Sign in with your Zinley account.
  4. Open Configure → Devices and give the machine a recognizable name.

Leave the app running when you want Zinley to reach that machine. Background operation is enough, but powered-off hardware cannot receive work.

Phone

iOS and Android access is available by request. After installation, sign in with the same account and allow only the notifications and device permissions you want Zinley to use.

The phone then appears with your other devices and can receive supported handoffs or live-voice rings when reachable.

Cross-device access

The device's cross-device setting controls whether jobs started elsewhere may reach it. Turn it off on a borrowed, sensitive, or temporarily unavailable machine.

If the device is missing or offline

Check that:

  • the app is open and signed in to the correct account;
  • the hardware has power and a network connection;
  • cross-device access is on for remote work;
  • the device name in the request matches the intended row.

After reinstalling, a new device record can appear. Remove the older record after comparing last-seen times.
