Zinley's Computer
Zinley's Computer is your agent's own machine in the cloud — always on, always reachable, and completely separate from your laptop. Zinley can install things there, keep files there, and run long jobs there without needing any of your devices to be awake.
Available on Plus and above. On the Free plan Zinley works on your connected devices instead — see Plans & limits.
Why it exists
Your own devices are the right place for anything that touches your files, your apps, or your screen. But plenty of work doesn't need any of that — and shouldn't stop just because you closed your laptop.
| Your device | Zinley's Computer | |
|---|---|---|
| Your files, your apps, your screen | ✅ | ❌ |
| Runs while everything of yours is off | ❌ | ✅ |
| Long or heavy jobs | Ties up your machine | Runs out of the way |
| Reached from email, phone, Telegram | Only if the device is online | Always |
Ask Zinley to use it
There's no setup and nothing to provision. The first time Zinley needs it, the machine is created — that's it.
- "Do that on your computer instead of mine."
- "On your own machine, clone this repo and run the test suite — tell me what fails."
- "Build the site on your computer and deploy it."
When you ask by email, by phone, or from a chat app — anywhere Zinley is working without one of your devices — it reaches for its own computer by default.
Your files stay put
The workspace is persistent. Files you or Zinley put there survive between sessions, so you can come back a week later and pick up where you left off: "what's in the project folder on your computer?"
It sleeps when idle
To keep costs at zero when nothing is happening, the machine stops itself after a few minutes of inactivity and wakes up in a second or two the next time it's needed. You don't manage any of this.
Very occasionally a long-dormant machine gets recycled. When that happens Zinley tells you plainly — you'll see a note that its computer was reset — so you know the workspace started clean rather than silently losing something.
What it can and can't do
It can: run terminal commands, read, write, and edit files, search across a project, upload and fetch files, and publish a page or site straight from the workspace.
It can't: control a screen, drive a browser, or use Mac-only automation — there's no display attached. Ask for any of those and Zinley will suggest running that part on one of your devices instead.
Long-running commands are fine. Ask Zinley to kick something off and check on it later: "start the build on your computer and tell me when it's done."
