Trusted & blocked callers
Two lists decide how far a caller gets. Trusted numbers reach the full version of your agent. Blocked numbers don't reach it at all. Everyone in between gets a careful, limited Zinley.
Trusted callers
Open Settings → Trusted & blocked → Trusted and look at the Phone card.
A trusted number talks to your full agent — it can reach your calendar, your contacts, your messages, and act on your behalf. Everyone else talks to a limited agent that can take a message and answer general questions, but can't touch your data.
You can trust up to 10 numbers. The card shows your count against the limit (e.g. 1/10).
Adding one — SMS verification
You can't just type a number in and have it trusted; that would be an obvious way in for anyone who knows your address.
- Click + Add and enter the number.
- Zinley texts a verification code to it.
- Enter the code to finish.
Because the code has to arrive on the handset, you can only trust numbers you actually hold.
Numbers are paired to a device
Each trusted number is tied to the device you added it from. That has three consequences:
- Same device — nothing to do; it just works.
- Your other device — Zinley notices the number is already paired elsewhere on your account and asks you to confirm the move before switching it over.
- Someone else's account — rejected outright. A number can only be trusted by one account at a time.
Removing one
Click ✕ next to the number. It drops back to being an ordinary caller immediately — the limited agent, no access to your data.
Blocked callers
Blocked numbers are refused before they reach Zinley. Nothing is answered, nothing is logged as a conversation, and you're not interrupted.
There are two layers:
- Your global block list — applies to every line you own.
- Per-line extras — an individual line can block additional numbers on top of the global list.
Per-line lists only ever add. A line can block someone your global list allows, but it can't un-block someone you've blocked globally. The strictest rule wins.
Add a number with Block, remove it with ✕ or Unblock.
Auto-blocking after a call
If you've turned on auto-block after a call in phone settings, Zinley adds callers to your block list by itself once a call ends:
- On — blocks callers it judges unwanted.
- Suspicious only — blocks only the clearly bad ones (scams, spoofed pitches).
- Off — never blocks anyone on its own.
Auto-blocked numbers land in the same list as ones you added manually, so they're all in one place.
Undoing an auto-block
Zinley sometimes gets it wrong — a delivery driver, a clinic calling from a rotating number. Open the Blocked list, find the number, and unblock it. The caller can get through again from the next call onward.
You can also just ask:
"Unblock the number that called yesterday afternoon — that was my pharmacy."
