Voice

You don't have to type. Zinley can take your message by voice, read its answers out loud, and hold a real back-and-forth conversation with you in the app.

Dictate instead of typing

Hit the 🎤 Speak button in the message box and talk. Zinley transcribes what you said into the message box, so you can check it before sending.

  • Good for long messages, walking around, or when typing is the slow part.
  • Audio recordings up to 50MB — enough for a long voice note or a recorded snippet.
  • Speak any language. Zinley can translate what you said into English as it transcribes, so you can think out loud in your own language and still send a clean English instruction.

You can dictate and attach at the same time — record your instructions, drop in a document, send both together.

Listen to replies

Turn on listen and Zinley reads its answer out loud instead of making you read it. Handy for long briefs, or for catching up while you're doing something else.

Live voice

Live voice is a real-time spoken conversation with Zinley — you talk, it talks back, no send button in between. It's the fastest way to think something through.

  • Start call — begins the conversation. Talk normally; interrupt whenever you like.
  • Voice and call settings — choose the voice and language it answers in.
  • End — hangs up. Whatever you agreed on is still there afterwards.

Live voice is for talking with Zinley. It's separate from your agent's phone number, which is how other people reach it — see Incoming calls.

Hand a task to the main agent, mid-conversation

You can be talking and then simply hand the work over: "Okay — go do that." The task is passed to your main agent, which picks it up and runs it in the background while you carry on talking or hang up.

This is the point of live voice: you think out loud, agree on what needs doing, and then delegate it without touching the keyboard. When it's finished, the result lands in your conversation like any other task.

Search your history by voice

Ask about the past while you're talking and Zinley looks it up mid-conversation:

"What did I agree with the landlord last month?" · "Have I already replied to Trang?" · "Find that conversation about the pricing model."

It searches your conversations, people, and topics and answers out loud — no need to stop and go hunting through the app.

Ring another device

Started on your laptop and want to keep going on your phone? Ask Zinley to ring one of your other devices. That device rings, you pick up there, and the conversation continues.

  • Both devices have to be yours and connected — Zinley will only ring devices on your own account.
  • The target device has to be online. If it's asleep or offline, the ring fails and Zinley tells you.
  • Handy for: walking out the door mid-conversation, moving from a noisy room, or picking a device with a better mic.

Tips

  • Interrupt freely — you don't have to wait for Zinley to finish a sentence in live voice; just start talking.
  • Say the details out loud. Names, dates, and numbers spoken clearly transcribe far better than mumbled ones.
  • Dictate, then edit. For anything precise, dictate into the box and fix the wording before you send.
  • Noisy room? Dictation into the message box is more forgiving than live voice, because you get to read it back first.
