Goals, plans, logs, and alerts

Use Health to turn a read into a small action you can inspect. Goals track progress, logs add missing context, and the plan offers reminders or calendar actions when supported.

Set a goal and check progress

  1. Open Action Center → Health, select the right person, and open More → Records.
  2. Find Goals and choose Add goal.
  3. Choose What to track, the direction where offered, and a target in the displayed unit.
  4. Save, then check the goal's name and target in the list.
  5. Return after new data has synced or been logged. A goal without a matching reading shows that there is no data yet.

Health allows up to five goals per person. Available goals include sleep, steps, exercise, bedtime, weight, and other supported measurements or habits. Choose a target appropriate for you; if a clinician has given you one, use it. Remove an outdated goal before adding a replacement when the limit is reached.

A recommendation may offer Try it for a week. Review what the trial asks you to change before starting it. Only one trial runs at a time; Health shows the current one instead of silently starting another. The trial records what happened, not proof that the change caused the outcome.

Log a measurement or note

Open More → Log something, choose What to log, check When, enter the value in the displayed unit, and choose Log it. You can log items such as weight, blood pressure, glucose, temperature, energy, mood, symptoms, water, caffeine, alcohol, meals, medication taken, or a note.

For blood pressure, enter the top and bottom values in their separate fields. Check the units for weight and temperature. In Records → Logs, review the saved entry and delete an incorrect entry before adding the corrected one. A medication log records what you took; it is not a recommendation to take or change a medicine.

When working with family data, check the profile and any Log for label. The top-level Log something shortcut may be available only on your own profile; use the person's records where the app offers logging for that person.

Understand Your plan

Your plan shows actions selected for the current day. Open an action to see what it offers, such as creating a reminder or setting aside time. Connect the relevant calendar in Settings → Apps & accounts when an action asks for it.

In Settings → Health, Just do it allows supported Health reminders and time blocks to be created automatically. Read the setting before enabling it. Review the result in the plan or activity and use the offered undo control when you want to reverse an action. A proposed action, a failed action, and a completed calendar entry are different states.

For a family member's plan, reminders are placed on your calendar as the carer. Confirm the person and action before creating one.

Choose read times and notifications

Setting Effect
Daily read Turns daily written reads on or off
Read times Sets the offered morning and evening times
Evening review Adds the evening experience when available on your plan
Notify me through Opens notification choices for supported delivery channels
Advanced settings → How it sounds Changes tone and length
Advanced settings → What Zinley brings in Controls optional local context and research
Advanced settings → Nudges between reads or Check-ins between reads Controls routine check-ins between daily reads

Use the plan and time options shown in the app. Evening features and other limits can depend on your plan; the current upgrade screen is the source for availability and pricing.

Configure urgent alerts carefully

Open Settings → Health → Urgent alerts and calls. Care watch controls gentle heads-ups. Turning Care watch off does not turn off urgent alerts.

Call me for urgent alerts allows a supported urgent alert to escalate when it has not been opened or acknowledged within 10 minutes. Calls also require urgent-call permission in Settings → Notifications, a reachable owner phone number, and a Zinley phone line. The screen points to the missing setting when calls are unavailable. For a family member's alert, the call goes to you as the carer.

The emergency-contact option is separate. With the required permissions and contact details, Zinley may send that person a short message asking them to check on you when it cannot reach you. Do not treat this as guaranteed contact, emergency dispatch, or continuous monitoring. Delivery and escalation depend on the alert, available data, connectivity, and service limits.

Open an alert to read the explanation and the offered response. Keep clinical decisions with your clinician. If you need urgent help, contact local emergency services directly instead of waiting for Zinley.

Pause routine care

Choose Settings → Health → Pause Health, then 1 day, 3 days, 7 days, or Until I'm back. Routine reads and nudges stop during the pause; urgent alerts keep their existing behavior. Use Resume now to restart early; current mobile builds also offer this on the paused notice in the Health day view.

Pausing Health, turning off Daily read, disabling Care watch, and stopping a phone's data sharing are different controls. To remove stored information or disconnect a source, use the privacy and sharing controls.
