By your side

Use this mode when you are in the conversation and Zinley joins it with you. In a meeting, it is a disclosed co-participant. In an interview, it can be a disclosed co-interviewer. You remain present and responsible; Zinley helps in the room, not only before or after it.

This is different from privately chatting with Zinley while another meeting runs elsewhere. For live By your side support, Zinley is an actual, disclosed participant in the same meeting or interview as you.

Join in one prompt

From Zinley on the web or desktop — or through iMessage, Telegram, or Discord — send the Google Meet, Zoom, or Teams link, or the dial-in details. Then say “Join me here” and name the role.

“Join me here. Translate Vietnamese and English, wait unless someone names you or asks you directly, and track every pricing commitment.”

That instruction means:

  1. You join the meeting or interview.
  2. Zinley joins the same room as a disclosed AI participant.
  3. Zinley follows the live role and speaking boundary you gave it.

Sending a link without saying the mode is ambiguous. Say “Join me here” when you want Zinley beside you; say “Join this for me” when you will not attend.

Choose its seat in the room

Give Zinley one primary live role so everyone understands why it is present.

  • Meeting with you: translate, bring in approved context, track decisions, or answer a defined set of questions.
  • Co-interview: ask approved follow-ups, track evidence against the rubric, and flag missing evidence while you lead.
  • Observer: listen, capture commitments, and speak only when someone names it, asks it directly, or invites it to contribute.

Zinley waits for its turn. Say whether it should remain an observer or when it may contribute. It should not dominate the conversation or make a commitment you did not authorize.

Before the conversation

Ask Zinley to prepare the relevant people, topics, prior decisions, questions, or interview rubric. Then send the meeting link or dial-in and the live instruction.

“Prepare the Acme renewal history, then join me here. Speak only if I ask for a date or someone asks you a direct question. Track decisions and owners.”

Before relying on it, confirm that Zinley appears in the participant list with its disclosed identity and is connected in the mode you requested. Opening Chat or Voice by itself does not join a separate meeting.

During a meeting with you

You lead the human conversation. Zinley can translate between the languages being used; the room does not need to default to English. Name the translation direction, when to translate, and any glossary terms in your prompt. Zinley can also add context you already approved, track decisions and owners, and answer within the role you set. It waits for its turn and follows the speaking rule in your prompt.

During a co-interview

You lead the interview and remain accountable for the decision. Zinley can follow the approved rubric, ask assigned or missing-evidence questions, translate the conversation, and keep structured evidence for the debrief. Human interviewers decide whether to advance, reject, or make an offer.

After

Ask for an inspectable debrief, not only a transcript:

  • decisions and commitments;
  • owners and deadlines;
  • open questions;
  • recommended next action;
  • anything that requires your approval.

Then move bounded follow-up to On your behalf if you want Zinley to finish it for you.
