Common Issues

Having trouble with Zinley? Here’s a list of some common issues users encounter, along with solutions to help you get back on track.

Ongoing Issues

1. Error: "Zinley" is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the Trash.

2. Unable to Open Project or Send Prompts

Account and Access

I can’t log in to my account.

  • Solution: Double-check your email and password for typos. If you’ve forgotten your password, use the Forgot Password link on the login page to reset it. For any issues related to account access, please contact support via Contact.

I didn't receive the verification email.

  • Solution: Make sure to check your spam or junk folder. If the email still isn’t there, you can request a new verification email by clicking Resend Verification on the login page.

Platform Features

Images aren’t uploading properly.

  • Solution: Confirm that the file type is supported (JPEG, PNG, ICO, SVG, WebP, etc.). If the issue persists, try re-uploading or compressing the image file. Large image files may take longer to process.

I’m having trouble with version control in Git.

  • Solution: Ensure you have an internet connection and that your repository is correctly linked to Zinley. If you’re having issues with automatic commits, verify that your project settings allow version control. For advanced issues, check out Zinley’s Version Control Documentation.

Web Crawling and Data Extraction

Web scraping results are incomplete or inaccurate.

  • Solution: Confirm that the page URL is publicly accessible and does not require a login. Some sites have restrictions or anti-scraping measures that can limit data extraction. If issues persist, try rephrasing the request or breaking it down into smaller tasks.

Performance

My tasks are taking longer than expected.

  • Solution:
    • If you were waiting long for any task or process, rate limit may have been hit.
    • We have a mechanism to switch models already, but it may need more time. Be patient.
    • If it couldn't move, click the undo button; it will revert back safely to the latest version and reset the process.
    • Feel free to retry, or click the back button; it will also escape and revert if needed, and you can try again.
    • For faster task execution, ensure you are on a Pro plan, which offers higher priority in Snow Mode.

I’m seeing unexpected results in Coding Mode.

  • Solution: Check the initial task prompt to ensure clarity, as vague prompts can lead to unintended code generation. If issues persist, try rephrasing your instructions, breaking them down into simpler steps, or reaching out on the Discord Community for help.

Technical Errors and Bugs

My code won’t compile.

  • Solution: Use the Self-Healing feature to diagnose and fix compile errors automatically. If the issue persists, review the error message and attempt to fix any specific syntax or dependency errors manually.

Dependency errors keep showing up.

  • Solution: Run the Dependency Agent to manage and resolve issues with missing or conflicting dependencies. Ensure your project’s configuration matches the recommended settings. For complex dependency issues, try clearing your dependency cache and reinstalling.
